Our Story

​Parkdale Project Read (PPR) was founded by Dr. Rita Cox, a renowned storyteller, community activist, and former Head Librarian at the Parkdale library.

PPR began as a volunteer-driven program operating out of the Parkdale branch of the Toronto Public Library, with volunteer tutors meeting with learners every week to work on reading and writing
