Volunteer Tutor Program
Parkdale Project Read is a member of the West TO Literacy Collaborative. We train volunteers who are interested in working with adult literacy learners in our west Toronto neighbourhoods.
Parkdale Project Read accepts volunteer applications all year round. We are currently seeking dedicated volunteers (aged 19 and over) to support adult literacy learners to develop their reading, writing, numeracy, and digital literacy skills. We welcome volunteers from diverse backgrounds and life experiences. To apply: Please complete the Volunteer Tutor Application. Our next round of training will be in Spring 2025. We will update with exact dates in the new year. Alternately, you may download the application form in PDF or Word formats below and submit to info [at] parkdaleprojectread.org Applicants selected for an interview will be contacted approximately a month prior to tutor training. Following the interview, if selected, prospective tutors will be required to attend four 2.5 hour tutor training sessions offered by the WestTO Literacy Collaborative. Attendance is mandatory to become a tutor at Parkdale Project Read. For more info, please visit: www.westtoliteracycollaborative.com |
